According to royal commentator Neil Sean, Meghan was "inconsolable with tears and at the same time outraged" by the comments from the journalist. "Meghan was bereft because she'd admired Tina Brown, and in particular, read her books simply because of her connection to Princess Diana, and get this, because she wanted to find a better connection so she could understand her husband, Prince Harry, and how he felt about his mother," Sean claimed. _ During a 2024 appearance on the "The Ankler" podcast with Janice Min, Tina Brown made it clear she did not like the way Meghan Markle navigated royal life since she and Prince Harry left The Firm in 2020. The media mogul claimed the 44-year-old "has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world" and is "flawless about getting it all wrong. All of her ideas are total c***, unfortunately.""He [Harry] was so fragile, so combustible, he was so unhappy, frankly, in the constraints of the royal family," she continued. "He was terribly impressed by Meghan. He thought that she knew all. She persuaded him that she was the savvy Hollywood wheeler-dealer who could come in and make them stars and all the rest of it. And he just sort of blindly followed her like a child, really." _ Despite her harsh words for Meghan Markle, Tina Brown pointed out what a gifted royal Prince Harry was while he was still involved in the monarchy. "The thing about Harry is he's very good at being Prince Harry," she gushed. "And that's the tragedy of all of this. He is the most talented member of the royal family, without doubt, in terms of being a prince, which is all he does know how to do. He's really sort of flawless at it. When he goes on these much-mocked foreign trips, he's just really good at it. He's charming, he's funny, he's sweet, he's authentic again. He has a real sense of being true and real, and he's flawless at it." _ In 2022, Tina Brown claimed her friend and Prince Harry's mother, Princess Diana, would not have approved of how Meghan Markle has seemingly taken her son away from his family. "Diana would have been very, very protective of Harry and I believe very anxious about this direction they [he and Meghan] have taken," the writer explained in an interview.
