VICE TV / Via youtube.com Kate's ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, wound up alleging that Collin had been "caged" at Fairmount and that he'd called his mom "abusive" - which Kate firmly denied. In 2023, Collin claimed during Vice TV's investigative miniseries Dark Side of the 2000s that Kate repeatedly took out her "anger and frustration" on him. "I mean, a divorce and plenty of different things that can't be easy to go through," he said. "And, you know, I want to think that she needed someone to take out her anger and frustration on, and it was just kind of me." However, she has previously denied any claims of abuse, stating in 2016 that while she'd been "investigated many times," the claims were "always unfounded." Fast forward to now, and Collin recently referenced his estranged relationship with his siblings in a now-viral TikTok. "Forced apart, pitted against each other. All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids?" he captioned the video. "I will always love them more than anything. The tears I shed behind closed doors, thinking about the memories we could've shared. I love you guys." @thecollingosselin / Via tiktok.com Before long, Kate addressed Collin's claims directly after someone left a screenshot of his TikTok video under one of her posts. Per People, she wrote, "He knows why," alongside a sad emoji. People / @kate.gosselin / Via tiktok.com In Kate's video, captioned "Kitchen Talk and Tips," the mom-of-8 tidied her kitchen while detailing her busy day at work as a pediatric nurse.
Kate recently revealed that her time on reality TV hasn't provided her with enough money to handle providing for her kids and court-related costs. She wrote in a TikTok comment, "Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS. Sickening but I was drug into court constantly and that costs A TON. Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved and I could have a retirement saved if it weren't for lawyers. It's okay.
