Ayan Mukerji's War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani had its theatrical release on August 14. The spy action thriller began with a bunch of mixed reviews; the film witnessed a decent opening on day 1 driven majorly from the Telugu version of the film. The net collection on day 1 was Rs 51.5 crores while the Hindi version made only Rs 29 crores. That being said, the film's second day collection saw quite the turnaround by the virtue of Independence Day holiday. War 2 is said to have approximately earned Rs 56.5 crore (India net) across languages.
