Clarkson, 44, appeared as a mentor on the hit singing competition from seasons 14 to 21. She briefly returned for season 23 before leaving the show upon her family's move from California to New York. The former American Idol champ most recently appeared on season 29, dubbed Battle of the Champions, which concluded last month.
