Jamie-Lynn Sigler wrote about her final words to her Sopranos costar James Gandolfini in her memoir, And So It Is... A Memoir of Acceptance and Hope. According to the tome, she approached the late star's closed casket during his June 2013 funeral at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City. Kneeling beside it, she placed her hands on the casket and said, "Thank you. Thank you for loving me, thank you for seeing me, for caring for me and for making me feel safe." Sigler thanked Gandolfini for protecting her.
