Pierce Brosnan turned the red carpet premiere of Netflix's The Thursday Murder Club into a family affair. Brosnan, 72, attended the Thursday, August 14, screening with son Dylan, 28, at New York City's famed Plaza Hotel. The acclaimed actor looked dapper in a white blazer jacket with complementing black trousers, while Dylan opted for a gray two-piece suit. Dylan is one of Brosnan's five children. He shares Dylan and Paris, 24, with wife Keely Shaye Smith, as well as Charlotte, who died in 2013, Christopher, 52, and Sean, 41, with late ex-wife Cassandra Harris. (Brosnan adopted Charlotte and Christopher, Harris' children from a prior relationship.) The Irish actor has long been candid about being a present parent. Brosnan, who further noted that fatherhood was "a very arduous road," was raised by a single mother. He met his father once in 1984. "I had a Sunday afternoon with him," he recalled to the outlet. "A story about this and that, had a few pints of Guinness, and we said goodbye. I would have loved to have known him. He was a good whistler, and he had a good walk. That's as much as I know about him." While Brosnan has balanced his acting career with parenthood, he's admittedly been wary of his children following in his footsteps. "Just because it's f***ing hard work," he told GQ in 2022. "It's a cross to bear. You're constructing and destroying yourself." "Don't be afraid to make fun of yourself," Dylan added of Brosnan's lessons to have a sense of humor. While Dylan has made his mark on the catwalk, Paris has chosen a career in painting. "He just devours these canvases," Brosnan marveled to GQ. "It just fills me with the greatest pride, fatherly pride, to be painting alongside him, just to be quiet in the garage or wherever we've painted. It's a really beautiful experience." Paris, for his part, pointed out that his dad is "evolving into a legit artist" whenever they collaborate. The next year, Paris said in a "Sketch Yourself" YouTube video that Brosnan was his greatest source of artistic inspiration. "I grew up watching him paint," Paris said in 2023. "I saw how he would lock in in the studio for hours and just get lost in there."
