Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is reported to be gearing up for another run at the presidency in a field that won't include Donald Trump. The New York Post reported Tuesday, May 5, that the 2024 runner-up for the Republican nomination is laying the groundwork for a second try after getting humiliated in a typically nasty election featuring the current president. DeSantis, 47, started the week by meeting with business leaders at the Milken Institute's global conference in Beverly Hills, and is scheduled to keynote the New York Republican Party's May 19 annual gala in Manhattan.
