Filmmaker Karan Johar made his Met Gala debut in a custom look by Manish Malhotra. Titled Framed in Eternity, the outfit was inspired by the work of the renowned Indian painter, Raja Ravi Varma. The look was built on a structured black base. He wore a high-neck, fitted jacket with strong, power shoulders, creating a sharp and defined silhouette. Layered over this was a six-foot hand-painted cape. The surface featured detailed scenes drawn from Raja Ravi Varma's visual language, with figures, draped textiles, and classical compositions spread across the fabric.
