The Detroit Lions quarterback had the sweetest response to Taylor Swift name-dropping him during her revelatory two-hour appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast with Jason Kelce, where she discussed everything from NFL games and her "granny" hobbies to her forthcoming album The Life of a Showgirl. "That was a crazy couple hours last night for me and my phone," Jared told reporters during a press conference Aug. 14, joking that he didn't expect to receive so many messages about the mention. "It was like, 'Oh!' Yeah, kind of cool." Indeed, the NFL star got a special shoutout from Taylor during a hilarious discussion about her lack of football knowledge when she went on her first-ever date with Travis. During the conversation, the Grammy winner gave a nod to Jared and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen when confessing that she initially believed that the offensive players on both NFL teams were on the field at the same time when competing. Of course, the 35-year-old later realized that was an "insane" question to ask. After all, Travis is a tight end and Jason played center before retiring in March 2024, so the two siblings were never physically head to head with each other during the game. Thankfully, Travis, also 35, was a good sport about the blunder at the time. As Taylor recounted, "He was like, 'Actually, I'm on the offense and my brother is on the offense.
