Speaking on a podcast with co-host Elisha Krauss, Carolla offered what he described as a "different take." Adam said he did not view the remark as "egregious" and argued the timing made it appear worse than it was. "When you make a joke and then nothing happens - like there was no shooting - then it's not a huge deal," he said.
