Rachel Recchia finally knows why Clayton Echard broke up with her (again). "I called that man so many times yesterday, and I have an answer," Rachel, 29, said on the Wednesday, August 13, episode of the "What's the Reality?" podcast. "I wake up in the morning and my inbox is flooded with my friends being like, 'He's alluding to the fact that he needs to come to us with some issue about you.'" Clayton, 32, appeared on "The Viall Files" podcast earlier this month, where he claimed that he broke up with Rachel because he found new issues regarding their compatibility. Clayton refused to tell podcast host Nick Viall what allegedly bothered him, only stressing that he wanted to tell one of Rachel's friends directly so they could pass the message along to her. "I could not figure out what he was talking about, and it scared me," Rachel told "What's the Reality?" host and Perfect Match costar AD Smith. "My friends were calling him all day, and he wouldn't answer. Finally, he calls me." What Happened Between Exes Clayton and Rachel on 'Perfect Match' Season 3? She continued, "So, the reason why Clayton feels we are incompatible and that he was so sure [of] is because I am not a gym girlie. He wants someone who lives a very active lifestyle and goes to the gym and hits the weights - and [that's] not me. It's never going to be me." Rachel notably appeared on Clayton's season of The Bachelor in 2022, making it all the way to the final two. Prior to the finale, Clayton infamously told Rachel, Gabby Windey and Susie Evans that he was in love with all three of them (and slept with both Gabby and Rachel). He ultimately broke up Gabby and Rachel to pursue Susie again. (Clayton and Susie, 31, broke up for good in September 2022.) Rachel and Clayton reunited during the first episodes of Perfect Match season 3, where Clayton said that he had unresolved feelings toward Rachel. However, he backtracked less than 24 hours later and vaguely alleged that his "intuition" kicked in, and they were incompatible after all. Clayton Claims 'Perfect Match' Edit Is 'Missing Context' With Ex Rachel When Clayton broke up with Rachel for a third time, he did not give her any indication on screen that wellness was a factor in his decision. "I like to travel and to shop, and sit at the bar. You know, I go on a hot girl walk," Rachel said on Wednesday's episode. "He wants to clarify, though, and I will give him this. It's not that he thinks I have a bad body, [but] it's that my lifestyle of not liking to hike or go to the gym is not compatible with him." AD, 33, further asked why Clayton couldn't just tell Rachel his feelings directly instead of spouting off a vague reason. "He thought, if he said that, the public would take it as an attack on my body or, like, I'm lazy or something," Rachel alleged. "I'm, like, 'I do work out. It's just I do not go to the Equinox!'
