A New Jersey man admitted to killing a 9-year-old girl while she was playing outside in an apartment courtyard with her brother and friends after he opened fire on a "family nemesis" in 2022. The victim's family and shooter Isiah M. Roberts' lawyer said that the shooting was related to a "stupid" Facebook beef. Roberts, who was 19 years old at the time of the incident, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter for the death of fourth grade student Sequoya Bacon-Jones. Roberts' attorney, John W. Hartmann, reportedly details the events that led to the shooting during a court hearing on April 16.
