The Trump administration has canceled an $11 million federal contract with Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami, ending a program that has sheltered and cared for unaccompanied migrant children for more than six decades. The move comes as President Donald Trump and Pope Leo XIV, the first American pope, are locked in an escalating public feud over immigration and the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran. The federal Office of Refugee Resettlement notified Catholic Charities of the funding cut at the end of March.
