Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Vesia barely held it together while discussing his late daughter, Sterling, on an emotional night at Dodger Stadium. Vesia, 30, earned the save after striking out the side in the bottom of the 9th inning of the Dodgers' 2-1 victory over the New York Mets on Tuesday, April 14, which came on Healthcare Appreciation Night. During his postgame interview with Spectrum Sportsnet, Alex was told to look up into the crowd where the medical staff who assisted him and his wife, Kayla, during the tragic loss of their daughter, Sterling, last year were cheering him on.
