A decade ago, Shah Rukh Khan took a risk with Fan, a film that explored the darker side of fandom. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film told the story of a fan who turns against his idol. Fan follows Gaurav Chandna, a young man from Delhi who idolises Bollywood superstar Aryan Khanna. He travels to Mumbai to meet him, but things take a turn after a disappointing encounter.
