A Hawaii jury has found anesthesiologist Gerhardt Konig guilty of attempting to push his wife off a cliff during what should have been a peaceful, scenic hike on the Pali Puka Trail in Honolulu last March. Gerhardt had initially been charged with attempted murder in the case after being arrested not long after the incident. But on Wednesday, he was convicted of attempted manslaughter based on extreme mental or emotional disturbance.
