The concert doc, which chronicles the band's three 2023 Mexico City shows at Estadio GNP Seguros (then called Foro Sol), will hit theaters and IMAX starting October 28, with tickets going on sale September 17 on the film's website. The film is being released through Sony Music Vision and Trafalgar Releasing and will screen at over 2,500 theaters . Depeche Mode: M originally premiered at Tribeca back in June, one of many music-related projects that hit the film festival this year. The movie was directed by Mexican director Fernando Frías de la Parra, whose other credits include the acclaimed I'm No Longer Here and I Don't Expect Anyone to Believe mE. Depeche Mode played the Mexico shows during the group's Memento Mori Tour, which marked the band's first tour since keyboardist Andy Fletcher's death in 2022. Over 112 shows across 2023 and 2024, that tour sold about 3 million tickets. "We're proud to continue our longstanding collaboration with Sony Music Vision and IMAX to bring Depeche Mode: M to audiences worldwide in October," Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, said in a statement. "This cinematic experience is a perfect celebration of the Memento Mori Tour and the deep connection Depeche Mode has with their global fanbase."
