Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Vesia is working hard this season for the sake of his late daughter. "Same goals ... different perspectives ... new motivations," Vesia, 29, captioned Instagram photos of himself on the field at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, March 26. "Thankful for everyone who has stuck by me. Dodger Nation gonna bring the energy." Vesia concluded his post by writing, "I'm going to make you proud SSV ❤️." Alex and wife Kayla Vesia previously revealed that their daughter's name was Sterling Sol Vesia. The couple announced the death of their newborn baby in November 2025.
