A Michigan man who once worked as a special education teacher is asking a judge for leniency ahead of his sentencing for sexually assaulting and exploiting a female student. In a 10-page handwritten letter to the judge, obtained by MLive.com, Paul Masko said if he's sentenced to between 15 and 30 years in prison, as is possible, it would be a "de facto life sentence.
