The National Commission for Women (NCW) has issued summons to the makers of the songs Tateeree and Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke following multiple media reports raising concerns over alleged obscenity and vulgarity in their content. In a statement shared on its official X handle on Thursday morning, the commission noted that it has taken serious note of the matter, adding that the content "prima facie appears to be objectionable and violative of provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
