Peacock doesn't always have the flashiest lineup of films or the biggest box office hits, but it does have a solid lineup of movies from the past three decades. Once you take the time to explore Peacock's film library, you may find some fan-favorite flicks that you may have forgotten about. To get you ready for your next movie night, the Watch With Us team has picked out the three underrated Peacock movies to watch this weekend. Our other choices include a dark crime movie, a great comedy and a horror film with a terrific premise. What to Watch This Weekend: 11 New Movies on Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max, and Hulu 'Dead Presidents' (1995) Dead Presidents will celebrate its 30th anniversary later this year, and it's worth revisiting a little early. Larenz Tate plays Anthony Curtis, a young Black man who is recruited to serve as a soldier in the Vietnam War alongside his friends, Kirby (Keith David), Skip (Chris Tucker) and Cleon (Bokeem Woodbine). After getting home from the war, Anthony discovers the hard way that there's no better life waiting for him at home. But he does get a new purpose from Delilah Benson (N'Bushe Wright), a militant Black woman with an audacious plan to rob an armored car. The face paint used by Anthony and Delilah during the robbery gives the film some of its most striking visuals. And it's a story you won't easily forget when it's over. Dead Presidents is streaming on Peacock. 'Mean Girls' (2004) Since Lindsay Lohan is enjoying a resurgence this week with Freaky Friday in theaters, it's the perfect time to revisit one of her best films, Mean Girls. The story follows Cady Heron (Lohan), an American teenager raised and educated in Africa who has never been to a real school before. That's why Cady is so initially taken aback by the proverbial mean girls in The Plastics, a clique led by Regina George (Rachel McAdams). 3 Underrated Netflix Movies to Watch This Weekend (August 8-10) Cady may not know much about high school, but she recognizes a tribal hierarchy when she sees one. With the help of her friend, Janis Ian (Lizzy Caplan), Cady plots to take down The Plastics from within. But in the process, Cady may become one of the mean girls herself. Mean Girls is streaming on Peacock. 'Happy Death Day' (2017) Tree Gelbman (Jessica Rothe) is having an epically bad birthday in Happy Death Day, and getting murdered is only one of the reasons why. Fans of the Until Dawn movie may enjoy this film's premise, because Tree wakes up from her murder and discovers that she's trapped in a time loop. No matter what Tree does or where she hides, a masked killer is always there to murder her. If Tree can't figure out a way to solve that problem, then it won't matter if she escapes the time loop. But first, Tree may need to identify her killer and discover why they're so driven to murder her. Happy Death Day is streaming on Peacock.
