Authorities have opened an investigation into the death of a dismembered man whose body parts were found discarded in a Massachusetts pond, Us Weekly has learned. Investigators have identified the mutilated man as Peter Degan, who was released from prison on February 6. Degan, 69, was arrested in 2018 and charged with trafficking and cocaine distribution - charges he pled guilty to in 2019, resulting in a five-year stint inside MCI Shirley, a medium-security state prison. When Degan was arrested, police said they recovered two kilos of cocaine as well as $750,000 in cash from his residence.
