Boy Meets World had several prominent guest stars throughout the years including Shaun Weiss, Adam Scott, Linda Cardellini and more. Scott, who has since gone on to star in several projects including the critically acclaimed Severance, starred in a four-episode arc as Griff Hawkins on the show in season 2. While on the Boy Meets World set, Scott recalled an awkward incident he had with cast member Rider Strong. "Literally this has been tugging at me for 29 years. ... It was the season finale of season 2," Scott told Strong, Danielle Fishel and Will Friedle on an episode of their "Pod Meets World" podcast in January 2023, explaining that the cast and crew were high fiving each other, but when he tried to congratulate Strong, he was blown off. "I go in and hug you and as I do that, you push me off and you give me this look, like, 'Wait a second who the f*** are you?' And then you run away." 'Boy Meets World' Cast: Where Are They Now? While Scott said the incident was "horrifying," Strong did not remember any of it. "Are you serious? Why would I do that?" Strong wondered. "That actually doesn't sound like me at all, 'cause I'm generally a hugger!" "I gotta be honest - and I remembered the feeling as soon as the episode came on," Weiss said on an episode of "Pod Meets World" in April 2025. "I was really - I don't know how to say it - hormonal. Hormonal. The chicks on that set, Danielle, I mean ... when you came into the room, my chemistry would change." Danielle Fishel: 'Boy Meets World' Costar Rider Strong Was My Childhood Crush Weiss admitted he was trying to "keep it together" around Fishel and costar Maitland Ward. "I was just losing my mind ... Basically I'm just bursting at the seams, Danielle, the whole time being like, 'I gotta go to my trailer for a minute,'" he explained. "Yeah, man. It was just puberty. I remember that show reminded me of puberty watching it. I was just like, 'oly man.' Madness." Adam Scott Scott starred as Griff Hawkins on 4 episodes of Boy Meets World in season 2, which aired from 1994 to 1995. While appearing on an episode of "Pod Meets World" in January 2023, Scott claimed that when season 2 wrapped, he tried to congratulate Strong, but he was blown off. Strong did not recall the incident. "I'm so glad you don't remember that because to some extent that means it wasn't a traumatic experience for you," Scott joked. "[You were] a little kid, and I was this stranger grown up. Again, I had no idea what I was supposed [to do]. It seemed like we were all supposed to be joyous and hug each other. Oh, God, it was horrifying." Linda Cardellini Steve Granitz Archive 1/WireImage Cardellini starred as Lauren, who becomes a love interest for Cory (Ben Savage) and a rival to Topanga (Fishel), on season 5 of Boy Meets World, which aired in in 1997. I came in, and he cheated on his girlfriend with me. At the time I didn't even understand the gravity of it - and even still people are like, 'I'm mad about that!' I remember a bunch of kids running up to me and yelling, 'Homewrecker!' and then running away. It was the first time I'd been recognized in public: a group of kids calling me a homewrecker." 'Boy Meets World' Cast: Who the Stars Have Dated in Real Life Marguerite Moreau The Mighty Ducks actress appeared on two episodes of Boy Meets World in season 2, which aired in 1994. "I was excited to do the part, and we got along so well," Moreau said to Friedle on an episode of "Pod Meets World" in February 2023. "So, I felt like you and I were there with all these grown men and maybe there were some females there but I don't remember. And we were just doing our best to be grown up about it. I was probably also a little excited. But I was also like, 'I hope I'm doing this right.' I was also like, 'Why can't we figure this out? We're smart. We have chemistry. We'll get it.'" Moreau added that she has "very fond memories" of being on set with Friedle and "probably blocked out anything that felt weird."
