Police fatally shot a Washington man in order to stop him from a stabbing spree that left his mother and three other women dead. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office announced that Aleksandr Aleksandro Shablykin was shot dead by a responding deputy. The victims have been identified as the suspect's mother, 52-year-old Zoya Anatolyevna Shabliykina, and Joanne Kathleen Brandani, 59, Stephanie Killilea, 67, and Louise Sandra Talley, 81, who all lived nearby. Police confirmed that all of the victims died from "multiple sharp force injuries." The crime took place on February 24 just after 8:30 a.m.
