A death certificate for Eric Dane listed Rebecca Gayheart as his spouse. The official death certificate obtained by Us Weekly indicated that Dane was still married to Gayheart, 54, at the time of his death. His cause of death is listed as respiratory failure with ALS as an underlying cause. He was cremated on Friday, February 27. News broke on February 19 that Dane had died after a battle with ALS. He was 53. Dane is survived by Gayheart, whom he wed in 2004, and their two daughters. (Gayheart filed for divorce in 2018 but requested to dismiss their divorce in 2025.
