Kristen Bell made a splash hosting the 2026 Actor Awards... but her hubby was completely MIA! On Sunday, the Veronica Mars star stood in front of a room full of her peers at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles to host the 2026 Actors Awards, but her husband Dax Shepard was noticeably absent from the crowd cheering her on. As we've been following, it's been a contentious several months for the couple. They triggered controversy in October with what many dubbed a "tone-deaf" post joking about Dax's insane promise not to "kill" her when times get rough. The controversial post opened the floodgates for fans to read into EVERY interaction of the pair, who have been living under a microscope since. Most recently, Dax admitted he "neglected" his wife on Valentine's Day in favor of celebrating their two daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11. He revealed on his Armchair Expert podcast: "My girls are my Valentines. ... All my resources went to the little ones." So was Dax's absence from the Actor Awards just yet another conscious snub? Well, not so much! In a screenshot of a text conversation with someone named Edward, Dax was instructed to only drink "clear liquids" ... which he jokingly responded to by claiming he was enjoying a "steak smothered in seeds and nuts." While Dax may not have been able to be in the audience, he shared a supportive post in honor of Kristen on Sunday morning: "CAUTION: DO NOT watch if you're allergic to effortless charm, tasty wit, velvety vocals, world-class mimicry, high-in-tight buns, timeless beauty or Disney-level Adorability. Also it may be 'too much' for those with heart conditions.
