Kelly Osbourne is speaking out after her physical appearance has continued to foster body-shaming comments. "There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something," Osbourne, 41, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, March 1. "Kicking me while I'm down, spreading my struggles as gossip and turning your back when I need support and love most. None of it proves strength." Osbourne continued, "It only revealed a profound absence of compassion and character. I'm currently going through the hardest time in my life. I should not even have to defend myself." Without elaborating on her struggles, Osbourne stressed that she wouldn't accept the hurtful comments either. Kelly Osbourne Attends 2026 Brit Awards With Mom Amid Defense of Slim Figure "I won't sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized in such a way," she concluded. Several hours earlier, Kelly attended the 2026 Brit Awards with mom Sharon Osbourne, where they received the Lifetime Achievement Award on Ozzy Osbourne's behalf. (Sharon, 73, was married to Ozzy for decades ahead of his July 2025 death at age 76.) "First of all, what a f***ing good evening it's been," Sharon said in her on Saturday, February 28, acceptance speech. "I know that Ozzy is looking down on us all right now, and I know what he is thinking. He hated to make speeches. He hated listening to speeches. He'd be saying, 'Hey, missus, shut the f*** up!' But I'm not going to." Sharon added, "He always wanted to do better, both personally and professionally. He never felt that words were enough to thank everybody for the life that he was given and for the life that he led. He may not be here, but he left us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him." Courtesy of Kelly Osbourne/ Instagram Shortly before the Brits, Kelly hit back at online critics of her weight when they claimed she appeared too thin and frail. "Literally can't believe how disgusting some human beings truly are," Kelly wrote via her Instagram Stories on February 22. "No one deserves this sort of abuse! This too shall pass, but like, holy f***." Kelly had struggled with her weight for years, even undergoing gastric sleeve surgery in 2018. "I lost, like, I want to say 35 pounds, 40 pounds, and then I stopped losing weight," the former Fashion Police host exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2020, referring to her procedure results. "I just stopped because I didn't listen to what they said. I just thought it was going to be a quick fix. I'd be done, I'd be skinny. [I thought I] didn't have to work out or do anything. I could not have been more wrong. You have to do every single thing that they tell you to do when you do the surgery, or it doesn't work." Kelly Osbourne Gets Incredibly Candid at 40: 'My Baby Saved Me' Nearly five years later, fans questioned whether Kelly was struggling with her body. "I want to start by saying I received so many lovely, lovely, lovely comments from people that have really helped me get through this time in my life since losing my father," she said in a December 2025 social media video. "[I've seen some] disgusting, horrible, mean, rude comments. I'm just here to say, what do you expect from me? What do you expect me to look like right now? The fact that I'm getting out of bed and facing my life and trying to be more than enough, I should be commended for that." Kelly added at the time, "My life is completely flipped upside down. I don't understand how people expect me to bounce back and look like everything is just fine in my life when it's not. People's faces change when you grow older."
