A fugitive mother - who police say was one of the most wanted drug offenders in Monroe County - has been arrested after she called police to report that her son was wielding a sword around during a violent family feud. Jerneen Nicole Green called 911 on Monday, February 23, to report that a man was wielding a katana-style sword at a home in Stock Island, Florida. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office responded to the resident around 2 p.m. after Jerneen, 51, told the dispatchers that her adult son, Zjiavon Deaute Green, was intoxicated and causing damage to the property with the sword, according to the Tampa Free Press. Jerneen told authorities that Zjiavon, 31, was swinging the katana-style sword and threatening to kill her, as well as several other people that were at the residence at the time. Woman, 24, Stabbed Mother Nearly 20 Times, Told Cops She Did It to Herself As the 911 call was being made, dispatchers could reportedly hear Zjiavon in the background shouting threats directed at Jerneen and an officer that reported to the scene. Once deputies arrived, they found Zjiavon in the backyard of the home and took him into custody without further incident. Additionally, the katana-style sword that Jerneen described in the 911 call was found on the property. Zjiavon later told investigators that he began swinging the sword around after he got into a verbal argument with his mother. However, police have not revealed what the fight was about between the mother and son. As authorities investigated the domestic dispute, they grew suspicious of Jerneen and confirmed that there were numerous outstanding arrest warrants out for her arrest regarding her alleged involvement in drug crimes. However, police have not yet publicly revealed how they came to that conclusion. In light of the discovery, Jerneen was also taken into custody and was hit with several charges including trafficking in cocaine, fentanyl and hydrocodone, the sale of cocaine and several counts of possessing drug paraphernalia, according to online records viewed by Us. Meanwhile, Zjiavon has been charged with aggravated assault for the sword-wielding incident. Both Jerneen and Zjiavon were eventually transported to the Monroe County Jail, where they remain in custody. A bond had not yet been set for either Jerneen nor Zjiavon as of time of publication. It is not currently clear if either Jerneen or Zjiavon have entered pleas or retained legal representation following their arrests. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to Us' request for comment regarding the recent arrests or the arrest warrants out for Jerneen prior to the recent incident. While police said that others were initially at risk, it is not clear who else was at the property at the time of the incident. Court records viewed by Us indicate that both Jerneen or Zjiavon have been arrested a handful of times prior to the latest arrest.
