Ant Anstead and his business partner, Jenson Button, scored a victory after they were sued over an alleged deal gone bad, Us Weekly can exclusively reveal. Court documents obtained by Us reveal that the judge removed the $119,000 judgment issued against Anstead and Button, both 46, in connection with a lawsuit brought on by a man named Timothy Tasker. As Us previously reported, Anstead and Button claimed they were not properly served by Tasker - and the judge agreed. "The Individual Defendants' Motion is GRANTED in its entirety," the documents read. "The Default Judgment entered against Anstead and Button on September 23, 2025 is SET ASIDE." Ant Anstead Amy Sussman/Getty Images On November 13, 2025, Anstead and Button's legal team presented their argument to the court. Neither the businessmen nor the man suing them attended the hearing, per the legal docs. "The Court finds that service [of the lawsuit] upon Anstead was improper," the hearing minutes read, noting that Anstead does not know a "Don Mace," who was reportedly handed the paperwork and identified as a co-occupant of the residence. (Anstead did, however, say he knows a "Dan Mace," but argued that the only co-occupant at the home with him was his 6-year-old son.) According to Anstead, he "never received" Tasker's summons or complaint and "did not learn of the Default or Default Judgment until October 1, 2025." "Anstead's declaration establishes that Dan Mace was not a member of the household where service was made and the only possible way service could have been properly completed at that address was through personal service, as the only other member of the household was a minor," the November order read. "Thus, the Court finds that the default and default judgment against Anstead should be set aside as void due to the improper service." Inside Ant Anstead's Legal Troubles: Renee Zellweger Rental Lawsuit, More Despite the victory, Anstead and Button's case is still ongoing. The next conference related to the lawsuit has been scheduled for May 7. Us has reached out to the lawyers for all parties involved for comment. Tasker filed a lawsuit in July 2024 against Anstead and Button's high-performance car manufacturing company, Radford Motors. The reality star launched the business with the ex-Formula One driver in 2020. Tasker later added the two businessmen as defendants and dismissed Radford from the suit. (Radford, which filed for bankruptcy in October 2024, denied any wrongdoing.) Tasker claimed the pair was supposed to present him with a car, but they never delivered. Ant Anstead Fighting a $119K Debt He Claims Was Result of a 'Scheme' Tom Vance, a lawyer for Tasker, previously told Us, "These are the same two people who looked my client in the eye and promised to build him a car and took $100,000 from him. They never even started a car and still have his $100,000. So I would urge you not to give much weight to statements contending my client and my firm were deceptive in any way." Anstead's rep previously stated, "Mr. Anstead and Mr. Button were completely unaware of the alleged judgment. Neither was served with the complaint in the lawsuit. Neither received notice of any proposed request for entry of default or default judgment. Thus, assuming a judgment was entered ... it was not pursuant to any appropriate or required due process or procedure." This isn't Anstead's only legal battle. As Us reported, he and his girlfriend, Oscar winner Renée Zellweger, are headed to trial after a houseguest accused them of negligence following an alleged injury at their California rental property. Anstead and Zellweger filed a joint response in December 2025, claiming that the actress did not lease, own or maintain the property and, as a result, had no duty to "inspect, repair, or warn of any condition on the premises," according to the court docs. The trial has been set for June 22.
