Denise Truscello / Getty Images For context, Kelly's residency at Vegas's Colosseum Theater was announced back in February and kicked off in July following an unexpected delay. It was set to continue for six dates in August, before returning for another four shows in November; however, there has now been another change of plan. Denise Truscello / Getty Images On Wednesday, Kelly announced via Instagram that the remaining August dates have been postponed due to a family health crisis involving her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, whom she was married to from 2013 to 2020. The couple share two children - River Rose, 11, and Remington Alexander, 8 - and when they split, Kelly was granted primary custody of the kids. Christopher Polk / Getty Images In a statement posted to her Instagram account, Kelly informed fans: "Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas. While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them." Debra L Rothenberg / Getty Images Kelly did not specify what illness her ex is navigating, nor did she suggest when the postponed dates might take place. However, a string of Las Vegas shows for July and August 2026 have since appeared on Ticketmaster. "I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows," she concluded, "and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding." Denise Truscello / Getty Images In case you forgot, Kelly and Brandon had a pretty messy divorce, and since their split was finalized in 2022, the singer has been accused of throwing shade at her ex multiple times. Kelly is also super private when it comes to her kids, so we're wishing them all the best. David Crotty / Getty Images As previously mentioned, this is not the first unexpected issue to have impacted Kelly's current residency. Last month, she abruptly canceled the opening nights on July 4 and 5, just a few hours before she was set to go on stage. Denise Truscello / Getty Images At the time, she shared her devastation with fans on Instagram, and People later reported that the last-minute cancelation was because the intense rehearsals had impacted her vocal cords. In the meantime, we're sending well-wishes to her and her family!
