Romy and Jake Reiner will no longer be funding Nick Reiner's attorney. As you know, Alan Jackson was originally going to be defending Nick in the case of his parents Rob and Michele Reiner's murder. Then, out of nowhere, he retracted from the case, despite the fact Romy and Jake were the ones who hired him. From there, public defender Kimberly Greene was appointed for Nick. But that doesn't seem to be the case any longer. Kimberly was back in court on Monday pleading Nick not guilty. And now, a source claimed to TMZ that Romy and Jake aren't going to be part of Nick's defense at all any

We had heard they wanted to foot the bill so Nick could avoid the death penalty (a punishment that's still on the table, according to the prosecution). As much pain as they were in following their parents' murders, they reportedly believed Nick was out of his mind due to a medication change when the killings happened.
