An influencer is going viral... uh, again... for sharing a supposed life hack about how to get clean underwear while you're traveling. So, this story is pretty weird on a couple levels. Let's start at the start, tho: back in November of last year (so, a full three months ago!), Instagram influencer Tara Woodcox posted a WILD reel about something she supposedly learn from a flight attendant friend back in the day. Related: Popular Beauty Influencer Gets Mysterious 'Sudden Illness' And Dies At 25 According to Tara in that months-old video, if you sense yourself running out of clean underwear on a trip, you can just pop open the coffee maker that is present in your hotel room and, uh, boil a dirty pair to make 'em cleaner! WHAT?! No, seriously. She started by saying this about the unquestionably gross hack: "Say you're traveling and you didn't pack enough underwear and you're like, 'Oh my gosh, what am I going to wear tomorrow?' Every room has a coffee pot thing in it. All you have to do is put your underwear where you put the coffee grounds, you close it, you press brew and it puts scorching hot water through it." Then, she added: "The hair dryer in the bathroom? You blow-dry those bad boys and you've got yourself a cleaner pair of underwear to wear. I did not realize how many people already knew this hack. I learned it years ago from a friend that was a flight attendant and it's brilliant." Uhhhh is she for real?! First off, something tells us a pair of underwear probably isn't gonna fit well in the place where the coffee grinds go in most coffee makers! Just saying! But of course, it's evidently the scorching hot water that does the disinfecting trick (er, just well enough) to wear the pair again. Or something. Which, um, oookay... Sooooo why is it going viral again now?! No obvious answer to that question. But boy, oh boy, is it going viral.
