Noted musicologist and lyricist Manohar Iyer has turned filmmaker with Dua Qubool, which is releasing on August 11 on a leading OTT platform. Iyer has not only produced and directed the film, but he has also written the story, screenplay, screenplay and lyrics as well. What's more, he's also playing an important role in the film. He describes the Muslim social as a film revolving around love, hope, longing, centering around the bond between a grandmother and her grandson. He talks to Filmfare about the film's genesis, peppering his replies with a smattering of poetry.
