The brother of Ghislaine Maxwell is not only defending her but also Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, following his arrest! Ian Maxwell spoke to The Telegraph on Friday - the day after the disgraced royal was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Andrew has been accused of giving confidential information to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein while serving as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment between 2001 and 2011. This comes weeks after the US Department of Justice released more documents from the Epstein files, which had potentially incriminating emails over the matter. The royal family has been trying to distance itself from Andrew amid the massive scandal. King Charles already stripped him of his titles and honors - and then had no sympathy for his brother following the arrest. And while opening up to The Telegraph about his ongoing mission to get Ghislaine out of prison, Ian slammed the royals for abandoning Andrew during this time! WTF! Perezcious readers know that the late Virginia Giuffrie accused Andrew of sleeping with her on three separate occasions when she was only 17 after being sex trafficked by Epstein and Ghislaine. He has vehemently denied the allegations. Now Ian is straight up trying to imply that no sexual offense ever took place. Hmm. He then went on to call out the family for not supporting Andrew amid the legal mess, saying: "Look, he's a single man and what he did or didn't do with various women was sleazy, humiliating for him and embarrassing for the royals. But there he is, kicked out of his home, completely isolated and unlike Ghislaine, he doesn't even have a supportive family; even his daughters are at sixes and sevens about what to do." Does Ian really want us to feel sorry for the guy? Yeah, good luck with that. Ian is not only defending Andrew, though. He came to the defense of Ghislaine in the article, too. As you know, she is currently serving a 20-year sentence after being convicted of sex trafficking. She has maintained her innocence and wants an appeal. Her brother also fully believes she is innocent, insisting the 64-year-old is "a scapegoat" for Epstein's crimes: "My sister is the fall guy. Somebody had to pay the price for what Epstein did, and so the government and the media chose her. I genuinely believe that if Epstein were alive, he would be incarcerated and she would be free." Epstein died by suicide in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges - though many are skeptical whether that is what really happened to him. A year later, Ghislaine was arrested. Ian said he found out about the arrest while watching the news: "They sent in a helicopter and 20 armed agents, as though she were a menace to society. It was unbelievable, totally shocking. That was the moment my sister became a scapegoat for the dreadful crimes perpetrated by Jeffrey Epstein." He insisted her trial "wasn't fair, and her conviction isn't safe," adding: "Ghislaine has done nothing wrong, and the length of her conviction is outrageous. You have a situation where somebody like P Diddy stands in front of the same federal court on the same charge and receives four-and-a-half years for extreme physical battery, and my sister receives 20 years." According to Ian, he met Epstein once and could tell how the disgraced financier "reeled" Ghislaine in: "I met Epstein once and my recollection of him was that he was clearly a very intelligent guy with a kind of dark charisma, but I wouldn't describe him as clubbable. He had a lot of money and was genuinely interested in science, technology and academia, which was a very familiar world to Ghislaine. I can see he could have reeled her in relatively quickly, and then when you are in that kind of world, it's not so easy to walk away." While with Epstein, Ghislaine committed horrible crimes - including allegedly sex trafficking Virginia, who died by suicide last year. However, Ian claimed Virginia lied: "I know who the monster is here and it's not my sister, it's Virginia Giuffre and her falsehoods that have had devastating ramifications for Ghislaine. I didn't shed a tear when she died." That is a terrible thing to say about the victim of this situation. WTF. Despite the trafficking conviction, Ian feels Ghislaine is "on the right side of history." Is this guy serious? He explained: "There's an argument here that feminists should really support Ghislaine because she is a woman who has been treated abysmally by the system.
