Jake Paul is back in the hospital for another surgery to help fix his broken jaw. "Had to get another jaw surgery," Paul, 29, wrote via Instagram on Friday, February 20. "The screws and plates were coming loose because apparently I didn't rest for the past 2 months whaattttttttt." The latest post included photos of Paul on a hospital bed and getting an MRI. He also included photos and videos of his fiancee, Jutta Leerdam, with him at the hospital and pushing him around in a wheelchair. Leerdam is an Olympic speed skater who just won a gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy. Both videos showed Paul with a robotic chrome jaw. The second fake video showed Paul taking off his lower jaw, revealing a medal mechanism in his face, before he puts his jaw back on, saying, "Good as new." Paul broke his jaw during his knockout loss to Anthony Joshua on December 19, 2025. He broke his jaw in two places during the boxing match, and was hospitalized right after the fight. "Broken jaw guys thanks for all the support I'm ok," Paul captioned his December Instagram post announcing the injury. The post included a thumbs up emoji in the caption. He also posted an x-ray of the broken jaw at the time, revealing the double break. The injury didn't keep Paul down for long (which is maybe why he needed a second surgery). She fell during that race, but recovered to still qualify for the 2026 Olympics in Italy. "It's really, really hard," Paul said after the heartbreaking result of that qualifying event. "And I know this is her whole life. Her whole dream. And everything she's worked so hard for. My heart is broken. This sport is so bizarre. She could just show up at the starting line and go again. And she had such a fast opening." Paul was also by her side during Leerdam's epic bounce back at the Olympics, breaking down in tears when she earned gold in the women's 1,000 meter speed skating competition. "Juttttttttttaaaaaaaa. I can't stop crying," Paul wrote via X after the competition. "You did it my love. Olympic Gold. God is great and so are you." Leerdam finished the race in 1:12.31, setting the Olympic record as she earned her first gold medal. She won a silver medal at the Beijing Olympics in 2022 and has won the 1000 meter distance twice at the Speed Skating World Cup. Jake Paul Says He Has '2 Titanium Plates,' Teeth Removed After Netflix Fight Paul and Leerdam met via Instagram in 2022 and went public with their relationship in April 2023. They announced their engagement via Instagram in March 2025 in a joint post. "We're engaged💍🕊️🤍we can't wait to spend forever together🥹," he wrote alongside photos from the special moment. Leerdam said Paul sent her a message on the social media app when they first met, asking her to be on his podcast. "I never, ever expected to date him, like never," she said in the documentary Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson. "Of course, I didn't know a lot about him. I could only scroll on his Instagram and form an opinion like the whole world does. But he is the complete opposite."
