by Mychal ThompsonBuzzFeedBuzzFeed StaffIf you must know, I based my entire personality on Seasons 2-5 of "Girls," and I'm a huge gamer. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi revealed that she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Udo Salters / Getty Images On Feb. 20, Snooki posted a TikTok video sharing a health update on the results of her recent cone biopsy. "It came back stage 1 cervical cancer called adenocarcinoma," she said. "Obviously not the news I've been hoping for, but also not the worst news just because they caught it so early. Thank freaking God!" @snooki / Via tiktok.com Snooki reiterated that her reason for sharing her process is to remind people to be proactive with their health. "I'm 38 years old and I've been struggling with abnormal pap smears for three or four years now, and now look at me," she said. "Instead of putting it off because I didn't want to go, because I was hurt and scared, I just went and did it, and it was there, cancer is in there. But it's stage 1, and it's curable." @snooki / Via tiktok.com "So get your appointments done, bitches! I'm telling you!" she urged. "Once you go to stage 2, then you have to do chemo... and doing the hysterectomy, it's going to help but you still have to get the chemo done. Nobody wants to do that! It's scary. So get your appointments done." @snooki / Via tiktok.com Snooki laid out the following steps, explaining that she'll go to an oncologist, where she'll get a PET scan to determine if the cancer has spread to other parts of her body. "After that, I'm gonna probably get the hysterectomy," she shared, adding that the oncologist said her other option was chemotherapy and radiation. "Obviously, I think the smart choice here is the hysterectomy. I'll still keep my ovaries, which is a good sign. But yeah, gotta get the cervix and uterus out, and then possibly lymph nodes because it can go to that. I guess it all depends on the PET scan?" @snooki / Via tiktok.com "So 2026 is not panning out how I wanted it to," she said. "But also, it could be worse. Could be very much worse." @snooki / Via tiktok.com Snooki admitted it's not the news she wanted to get, but, being that it's "the fourth most common cancer in women" in women, she hopes to connect with other women in similar situations because there aren't many platforms where it is being discussed. "A lot of women go through it silently without anyone to talk to, and they're scared by themselves. And that was me until I decided to upload the video about what was happening with me," she said. Jamie McCarthy / Getty Images "I like that we have a platform here to talk about it with each other," Snooki added. "I appreciate all of the love. Everything's going to be fine. I'm going to tackle this and get it done." Snooki considered keeping her journey private, but she realized how sharing these experiences could help other women feel seen. "I'm going to continue to be vulnerable and let you guys know what's going on," she said. "I gotta keep attacking this, and everything's gonna be great," she finished. @snooki / Via tiktok.com Snooki's video resonated with her followers, with some praising her bravery, including her Jersey Shore costar Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, who said, "The strongest woman, love you!" Theo Wargo / Getty Images Another person commented, "You're breaking stigmas by being so open and transparent about all of this." Others felt inspired to share their own journeys with cancer. One person said, "Got diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer at 29, chemo, double mastectomy, going through radiation and immunotherapy now but I am cancer free now at 30! ðŸ'ª you'll get through this! It's a long journey but there's a light at the end of the tunnel! ðŸ'-" Another person wrote, "Stage 4 cervical cancer survivor! Keep ur head up!" Some people even admitted that Snooki's video helped them prioritize their health. "I haven't had a pap in over 8 years. I just got off the phone with my OBGYN. Thank you for sharing!" someone wrote. Even physicians appreciated Snooki's honesty, writing, "Ty for being so open, honest and transparent about your health. We physicians really appreciate you using your platform in this way 🥰." If you didn't know, Snooki first discussed waiting for results from an additional biopsy after dealing with abnormal Pap smear results in a Jan. 20 TikTok video. Santiago Felipe / Getty Images "Results come back. Doctor calls me and he's like, 'Not looking great.' He found cancerous cells on the top of my cervix," she said. @snooki / Via tiktok.com Snooki added, "The reason why my doctor's on my ass all the time is because I waited. I waited on my damn appointments because I knew I might not get great results, but also because I didn't want to feel the pain. I didn't want to deal with the stress of having to deal with all of this." @snooki / Via tiktok.com "Just making this video to spread awareness to make sure you get your pap smears. And if your doctor calls you to do it again, do it," she said. "Make su
