Renee Zellweger and Ant Anstead are embroiled in a messy legal battle! According to Us Weekly on Thursday, the couple will go to trial on June 22. This news comes after a woman sued them, along with their landlord, in February 2025 following an alleged injury at their Laguna Beach rental property. Here is what she claims happened... In the initial civil complaint filed by the Orange County Superior Court, Tracey Bryn Belland accused Renee, Ant, as well as the property owner Glenn Alan Wilson, for one count of negligence, and is seeking damages "in an amount according to proof" to cover medical and incidental expenses, "all costs of suit," and more. The Orange County resident claimed she "tripped and fell on the patio" and injured her right knee while visiting Renee and Ant's residence in August 2024. She added that "a thin rug had been placed over a hole." In addition, Tracey alleged she suffered "physical, economic and emotional injuries because of the fall." Related: Andrew's Arrest Could Cause Problems For The Royal Family! Hmm. Yeah. If this is true then someone probably should have warned the poor woman about the hole hiding underneath the rug! Or better yet, fixed the hole before someone got hurt! Yeesh! Renee and Ant denied the allegations in June 2025. Meanwhile, Glenn filed a cross-complaint in October of that year - and threw Christina Haack's ex-husband/baby daddy totally under the bus! The property owner claimed Ant is the sole leaseholder of the home and, therefore, is required to "maintain the residence in every way relevant to this case." A lease agreement attached to the filing showed that Ant agreed to rent the property from January 1, 2024, to January 1, 2025. As for Renee? Glenn alleged that even though the Chicago actress is not on the lease, she "lived there much of the time." We guess he feels she also could've taken care of the issue, too! Glenn accused Ant and Renee of equitable indemnity and contribution amid the lawsuit from Tracey. He further accused the Bridget Jones's Diary star of one count of breach of oral contract and Ant of one count of breach of the implied covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing. He is now demanding that the court award him relief for damages in the form of his attorney's fees and legal costs. In a joint response in December 2025, Renee and Ant claimed the Oscar winner did not lease, own, or maintain the property and had no duty to "inspect, repair, or warn of any condition on the premises." The two, who have been dating since 2021, further argued that the Wheeler Dealers host, as a tenant of the place, "acted reasonably and performed all duties required of him under the rental agreement."
