The founder of a non-profit organization in Memphis, Tennessee, has been arrested after he allegedly strangled his wife, according to authorities. Larry Hunter, who is the founder of Touched by an Angel Ministries, was arrested on Monday, February 16, for aggravated assault and domestic assault. Hunter, 64, and his wife got into an altercation in December 2025 that turned violent, according to a police affidavit viewed by Action News 5. Authorities claimed that Hunter threw his wife against the wall and strangled her, causing her to black out.
