Erin Andrews is getting real about mom guilt. "I wanted to go home because I was having a lot of guilt, and I learned a lot about guilt this week," Andrews, 47, said during the February 12 episode of her "Calm Down" podcast with Charissa Thompson, explaining how she felt during recent travels for her job as a sports commentator. "I just felt bad because I have been on the road so much, and I feel like this is supposed to be my time with my child." Andrews said she decided to come home to Los Angeles for a night after being in San Francisco for work so that she could see husband Jarret Stoll and their son, Mack, 2. "It was a quick, quick trip," she continued. "I was able to see Mack before he went to bed. And he was just in a really bad mood. And Jarret looked at me and he goes, 'Thank you so much for coming home. I really appreciate it.' So, I was like, 'It's OK.' And then I woke up the next morning and it was a bad mood. And then I got on a plane again." Erin Andrews Calls IVF Journey the 'Most Challenging' Part of Her Life Andrews said she struggles with mom guilt because she wants to be "everything that he needs and more." Thompson, 43, reminded her that she is. "Yeah, but I also spend a lot of time away from home," Andrews responded. "So, I have guilt about that. So I miss a lot of stuff. So that's where I was like, 'Oh, I'll come home and we'll have a nice night together.' But anyways, the effort was there. That was great." Andrews also revealed that she received some parenting advice from Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who shares four daughters with wife Kelly Stafford, and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who shares two daughters with fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos. CHRIS DELMAS / AFP "Matthew and Dak were talking about prioritizing time with their families that they have and how that's made them a better football player and dad," she explained. "They get their stuff all done during the day. So, when the kids come home or they come home, it is all them. And then when they go to bed, they can get their film study in." Andrews said she's going to try the same approach during the 2026 football season. "It's not shutting my phone off because that's hard, but I'm just going to have to tell people, 'I can talk to you about it later,'" she concluded. "Like, 'I just can't deal with it right now.' It's just too hard. And I think that maybe will help my guilt a little bit. I don't know. We'll see." Andrews and Stoll, 43, tied the knot in 2017. They welcomed Mack via surrogate in June 2023. Erin Andrews Reveals the 'Adorable' Gift Travis Kelce Sent Her Son Mack Back in May 2025, Andrews revealed that her surrogate had a miscarriage with her second baby. "We got some real s***ty news today that our surrogate had miscarried. So, I have dealt with this before, but things were going really, really well. And her little heartbeat and her numbers were really good - so much so I even told you guys a couple weeks ago because we thought we had such good news," Andrews said on her podcast. "Been sitting here thinking about Taylor Swift's song 'I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.' I'm really good at doing this s*** with a broken heart," she continued. "I think I kinda made a promise to myself that when I was really open with how s***ty infertility has been and our journey with two surrogates, because we did lose ... we had loss with our first surrogate and then luckily with our second one, we had Mack, that I was just going to be honest with people."
