Eisenhower at a critical point in world history in the trailer for the World War II drama Pressure. Focus Features is set to release writer-director Anthony Maras' film in theaters May 29. Andrew Scott, Kerry Condon, Damian Lewis and Chris Messina round out the cast. Pressure centers on Eisenhower (Fraser) and Royal Air Force meteorologist Captain James Stagg (Scott) as they weigh the risks, including dangerous weather, in the days leading up to the 1944 Allied invasion of Normandy, France, to begin the liberation of Western Europe. He adds, "The final decision on the timing of D-Day will be mine and mine alone." Later, Scott says, "The storms that I am talking about are real, and the wrath of nature is real." Maras (Hotel Mumbai) helmed the movie from a script he co-wrote with David Haig that is based on Haig's 2014 stage play. Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Cass Marks and Lucas Webb serve as producers. Fraser starred in director Darren Aronofsky's 2022 title The Whale, for which he won the best actor Oscar, and has since appeared in such features as Killers of the Flower Moon, Brothers and Rental Family. He is set to reprise his role as Rick O'Connell in the latest sequel from the Mummy franchise that Universal is set to release theatrically in 2028. Scott starred in the 2025 films Back in Action, Blue Moon and Wake Up Dead Man.
