This case just keeps getting more mind-boggling, but this twist we really did not see coming! Nancy Guthrie has been missing for almost three weeks now, and it feels like the whole world is invested in the search to find her. So obviously the media has descended upon Tucson, Arizona as the investigation rages on. Related: 'Graphic' NEW Ransom Letter Received For Nancy Guthrie Ever since the first week of the investigation, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stopped conducting press conferences and has done limited and sporadic media interviews, seeming somewhat frustrated with the media attention this high-profile case has gotten as he has been blasted for making mistakes in the case, with many insiders discussing an apparent strain behind the scenes. Plus, he was also accused of being too fame hungry! So, you might be shocked to find out that the Pima County Sheriff's Department is actually... the star of a new reality series!! What?? A&E's Desert Law premiered in January with new episodes still rolling out on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. The first season was filmed last year and follows various cops within the department, though Nanos does not make an appearance, which was his decision, per a source for The Hollywood Reporter, though he does coordinate with the producers from Twenty Twenty. Check out the trailer: And see some other clips and promo: Wow! That's so unexpected!! It's obviously not uncommon to see a reality cop show, but the fact this department has one, and it took so long for people to realize, is kinda jaw-dropping! Folks reacted on X (Twitter) and TikTok: "THIS IS CRAZY!!!" "Well now that just makes me question them even further wtf" "You've got to be kidding me." "Omg my jaw is on the floor." "We are living in the Truman Show" "Girl what the hell?!" "Wait a minute......WHAT!?!?!?!" Now, for anyone worried about how this might affect the Guthrie case, production sources told TMZ on Thursday that the show is not being filmed right now. They stopped rolling cameras a while ago (the show was filmed last summer) and have no plans to do reshoots. There are three episodes left to air. Desert Law hasn't been renewed for a second season yet. The PCSD has been far too busy trying to find the 84-year-old for investigators to even talk about the possibility with the producers. But even if they do film more, the sources insist new episodes would not follow the Guthrie case. Frankly, there will probably be plenty of other documentaries about this... Still, this is WILD! What do U make of this discovery?? Let us know (below)! The FBI has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie, and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance. Authorities have encouraged anyone with information or tips to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI, 88-CRIME or tips.fbi.gov.
