Supermodel Naomi Campbell is the latest celebrity whose name appears in the infamous Epstein files, according to the Department of Justice's latest document dump. But Campbell, 55, has reportedly denied knowing anything about convicted sex trafficker and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's heinous crimes. "Prior to Epstein's 2019 arrest in New York, my client knew nothing about his appalling criminal conduct," Campbell's lawyer, Martin Singer, wrote in the statement to Black Enterprise on Wednesday, February 18. "If my client had ever encountered any young woman whom she thought was being victimized by Epstein, she would have personally taken immediate action to help her." He added that Campbell was living in Moscow between 2008 to 2013 and "had no idea that Epstein was a registered sex offender." The newly released documents chronicle communications Campbell had with Epstein during the last two decades of his life. The convicted pedophile and supermodel also spoke on the phone, met in person and even invited one another to parties or dinners they were hosting, according to the files, examined by Us Weekly. The View's Whoopi Goldberg Explains Why Her Name Is in the Epstein Files Epstein was allegedly invited to the supermodel's 2004 birthday bash in St. Tropez as well as a party at the Dolce & Gabbana store in Paris celebrating her 25 years with the brand. She also asked him to attend a party in Moscow she cohosted with Dasha Zhukova, who was the wife of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich at that time. The invites to the Paris and Moscow events were both sent in 2010 - a year after Epstein was released from jail after pleading guilty to soliciting a minor. Most of the time, Campbell's name pops up in emails, schedules and calls sheets that were shared by the DOJ. Epstein's assistants authored those communications on his behalf. It also appears, in emails exchanged between Epstein and someone representing Campbell, that the supermodel had asked to use his private jet - a request the disgraced financier denied. Campbell called and left a message for Epstein in January 2016, asking if she could use the plane later that month. When she was told Epstein, who was 66 when he died in 2019, would be using it, she did not take no for an answer. An email to Epstein from a redacted sender indicates "Naomi has called back twice now saying she doesn't have any backup plan as she really thought from you. This would work so she has booked the hotel and car and driver." Unsealed Court Documents Reveal Names of Jeffrey Epstein's Associates The message said Campbell wanted to see if the jet could make two trips on the same day. Other messages suggest Campbell was invited to join Epstein and director Woody Allen in Paris. Campbell was busy, though, and a rep responded that she had business in the United States, according to the documents. It had been previously reported that Campbell was a passenger on Epstein's jet in 2010, making multiple trips on the plane. Epstein died while in federal custody in New York. The names of Kevin Spacey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Whoopi Goldberg, and Bruce Willis also appear in the Epstein files.
