Catherine O'Hara was laid to rest at a celebration of life taking place more than two weeks after her death at age 71. Actress Kelly Lynch remembered O'Hara by offering fans an inside look at the funeral service booklet given to mourners who attended the service held in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 14. "Rest in peace darling Catherine," Lynch, 67, captioned the Instagram post on Monday, February 16. She also included a quote from writer Raymond Carver that read, "And did you get what you wanted from this life, even so? I did. And what did you want? To call myself beloved, to feel myself beloved on the earth." Lynch also added two other photos of O'Hara - one from her recent performance in AppleTV's The Studio and a second throwback black-and-white image of the late actress. Catherine O'Hara Shared What She Wanted to Be Remembered for Before Death Several stars shared their memories with O'Hara in the comments section. "I never knew this wonder of laughter and comfort. But my! Did I enjoy her," Selma Blair wrote. "I am so sorry for your loss. We will all miss her." News broke on January 30 that O'Hara died following a brief illness. A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson told Us Weekly that paramedics arrived at O'Hara's home in the early morning hours. She was transported to the hospital in "serious" condition. O'Hara's death came months after her final public appearance at an Emmy Awards party in September 2025. The actress was up for an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category after playing Patty Leigh in The Studio. (She lost to Hannah Einbinder, who won for Hacks.) Several The Studio cast members spoke out after O'Hara's death, which came just as they started shooting the show's second season. Seth Rogen, who created the show alongside Evan Goldberg, honored her memory while accepting an award for Best Comedy Series Director at the DGA Awards. "Honestly, there's no one we wish we could thank in person at this moment more than we would love to thank Catherine O'Hara," the 43-year-old comedian said on February 7. Goldberg chimed in, noting that O'Hara was their "idol" while growing up in Canada. "I mean, Home Alone, honestly, is like the movie that made me want to make movies in a lot of ways," Rogen added. "In that movie, she's always yelling 'Kevin! Kevin!' and on set we would be yelling 'Evan! Evan!' Every time she did, we were like, 'It's like, Home Alone.'" He added, "It was an honor to get to direct her every day and we worked very hard to make the show good enough to warrant her time and her presence. So, ultimately, we would like to thank the DGA for this, but we would mostly like to thank Catherine O'Hara for being such a wonderful person and for blessing us with your presence."
