I'm sure you've heard (unless you're living under a rock) about Ryan Murphy's new anthology series, Love Story, out with its first installment, which focuses on the captivating yet tragic romance of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette in the '90s-deemed one of America's most famous couples. The show premiered on February 12, 2026, and it has already enamored the internet with its passionate romance and intense chemistry between the two actors. Jose Perez/Bauer-Griffin / GC Images Allow me to give a bit more context for those who are not aware of these two individuals. John F. Kennedy Jr. was the son of former US President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy-he was an American publisher and lawyer. Throughout his life, he attracted media attention and later even earned titles such as 'sexiest man alive' or 'America's most eligible bachelor'. Carolyn Bessette was an American fashion publicist who worked at Calvin Klein. The two reportedly met in 1992, dated intermittently before getting engaged in 1995. They got married in 1996 in a private ceremony. In 1999, while en route to a family wedding in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, the plane that JFK Jr. was piloting reportedly got lost. JFK Jr., Carolyn Besette, and her sister passed away in this tragic incident. This show brings forth their untold romance to the new generation, and it surely has got us all in our feelings. Set in 1990s New York City, the old-school romance has definitely swept us off our feet. But it is not just their electrifying chemistry that has gotten us obsessed-it is the sophisticated style of Carolyn Bessette and JFK Jr. that has us all in awe. However, after witnessing the timeless style of Carolyn Bessette in this show, I realized that she was one of the earliest to rock the minimalistic yet powerful look. Of course, what else would you expect from someone who used to work at Calvin Klein? WWD / Penske Media via Getty Images In honor of this show and Carolyn Bessette, I've curated a collection of her best outfits, which reflect her elegance, chicness, and suaveness in all its glory.
