Police have officially ruled out Nancy Guthrie's family as suspects in relation to her disappearance... And apparently they did it a WHILE ago! Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed in a statement to KOLD 13 News on Monday that Savannah Guthrie, her siblings, and their spouses were all cleared "in the first few days" of investigation. He also said the fam has been "100 percent cooperative" with police and just want to bring their mom home: "Not one single person in the family is a suspect. So I am telling everyone, effective today, you guys [media] need to knock it off, quit. People are hurting. They are victims. I am saying they are clear. We have cleared them." But how did they come to these conclusions so quickly? Related: Why Savannah's Friends Found Video Message To Nancy's Captor So 'Disturbing' Former CIA member and FBI special agent Tracy Walder told PageSix that license plates and cell phones came into play when clearing the family as suspects: "Authorities have been able to alibi all of them and account for their whereabouts on that evening. They look at their cell phone data and figure out if it matches up to where they were. They also use license plate scanners to see if they're driving at the time and if they're caught on cameras." A second source, retired FBI agent Jason Pack, also said of Sheriff Nanos' statement: "It seems like they are confident in their work ... alibis, phone records, financials, digital forensics and the evidence has told them what they need to know. [Sheriff Nanos] seems to feel a real obligation to step in. He's running a case and he's trying to stop additional harm to victim families." We truly hope as this investigation enters week three, the Guthries can get answers. May Nancy be found safe. The FBI has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie, and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.
