What happened to Nancy Guthrie?? It's now been two weeks since the 84-year-old vanished from her Tucson, Arizona, home. As everyone searches for answers, a source told Arizona's Family on Sunday that this is NOT an alleged kidnapping but that investigators are treating it as "a burglary gone wrong." Hmm. But what does the Pima County Sheriff's Department have to say to this?? Sheriff Chris Nanos shot down this theory while speaking to DailyMail.com on Monday, insisting he believes this is a kidnapping and not a burglary gone awry. He explained: "This is somebody who's disappeared from the face of the earth, and now we have a camera that says here's the person who did this." He furthered: "And that's what makes me say this is a kidnapping. The motivation for it is where we get stuck, right? Is it for money? I mean, we had the one demand where they asked for money. But is it really for money, or is it for revenge for something?" That question remains as they track down leads and sort through up to 50,000 tips in the case. The FBI has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie, and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.
