by Kristen HarrisBuzzFeedBuzzFeed Staff Any woman in any industry can probably tell you a horror story about at least one male coworker. In Hollywood, it's unsurprisingly no different. United Artists Here are 18 times male actors were literal nightmares to their female costars: 1. Margot Robbie had an unnamed male costar gift her a weight-loss book totally unprompted. She told Complex's GOAT Talk, "Very, very early in my career, an actor I worked with - a male actor - gave me a book called Why French Women Don't Get Fat. It was essentially a book telling you to eat less. I was like, 'Woah, fuck you, dude.' He essentially gave me a book to let me know that I should lose weight. ... That was a very long [time ago]. I have no idea where he would even be now. Really back in the day." Kate Green / Getty Images for Warner Bros. 2. In the name of "method acting," Jared Leto gave his Suicide Squad costars some infamously shocking gifts, including sending Viola Davis a box of bullets. She told E! News, "It was a little worrisome. It made you a little bit nervous, and I'm pretty tough. You know, I got into a few fights when I was growing up...but it scared me a little bit." She said that, when she met him out of character for the first time at an event, "Before that, I was only introduced to the Joker...and I almost had my pepper spray out. You know, 'You remember that bullet you sent me?'" Clay Enos / (C) Warner Bros. / courtesy Everett Collection Jared's male costars were uncomfortable with his antics as well.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje told E!, "[Jared Leto] sent used condoms and sticky Playboy magazines. I mean, it just weren't right."Will Smith said, "Jared has gone full Joker... He really set the tone. He wasn't playing with it. He was dead serious as an actor he was going in, and he was 100 percent going into this character. And he really jarred the rest of us into, 'Okay, okay. He's not fooling around, so we need to get it right.'" Viola also told Vanity Fair, "He did some bad things, Jared Leto did. He gave some really horrific gifts. He had a henchman who would come into the rehearsal room. And the henchman came in with a dead pig and plopped it on the table, and then he walked out. And that was our introduction into Jared Leto. Now, I'm terrified just as a person... But the second part was, 'Oh shit, I've got to have my stuff together.' You talk about commitment. And then he sends Margot Robbie a black rat - it was still alive - in a box. She screamed, and then she kept it." (C) Warner Bros. / courtesy Everett Collection Jared told E!, "I did a lot of things to create a dynamic, to create an element of surprise, of spontaneity, and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there. I mean, the Joker is somebody who doesn't really respect things like personal space or boundaries. If you're gonna have that kind of party, at least invite the Croc. You know what I mean? Don't send me your dirty leftovers. That just isn't right. You see why he ain't part of the squad, right?"However, in 2021, Jared told Entertainment Weekly that he was a "good boy" on set. He said, "Any of the very few gifts that were ever given were given with a spirit of fun and adventure and received with laughter, fun, and adventure. It's all filmed! They filmed it all! People were dying. We were just having a goof... The only gifts I ever gave Margot were cupcakes. I think I gave her a mouse, and some of the other guys got gifts that you'd get as a joke at a party.... I'm playing a guy called the Joker, it's okay to play some jokes. Nothing ever crossed any lines, and it's not up to other people on the internet to create those lines. I'm an artist at the end of the day. If I do something risky and you don't like it, basically, you can kiss my ass." 3. On Twitter, Bella Thorne called out her Girl costar Mickey Rourke's alleged misconduct, writing, "This fucking dude. GROSS. I had to work with this man - In a scene where I'm on my knees with my hands zip tied around my back. He's supposed to take a metal grinder to my knee cap and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again. I had bruises on my pelvic bone - Working with Mickey was one of the all time worst experiences of my life working as an actress." Screen Media / Via youtube.com She continued, "So many gross stories of things he made me go thru on that movie, including in his last scene to speed up and rev his engine so he could cover me completely in dirt. Idk I guess he thought it was funny to humiliate me in front of the entire crew. Having to go in his trailer absolutely alone because he refused to speak to the director or producers - so I had to convince him to show up and complete his job, as he shouted crazy demands that he wanted from the producers. In fact I had to beg. Alone. In his trailer. Since the movie could not be finished without him. Everyone's work would've just been lost and completely for nothing. I didn't wanna do it. I was unc
