Watch: 'Tell Me Lies' Star Jackson White Teases "Juicy" Season 2 Finale (Exclusive)Grace Van Patten and Jackson White are, thankfully, nothing like their Tell Me Lies characters. After all, the real-life couple portrays Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco, whose toxic romance spirals over the course of eight years in the Hulu show. "We are probably the exact opposite," Grace told E! News in December, "which makes it only fun to act those scenes. It is so far from ourselves and our relationship that it's just fun to be mean and crazy." "Just as an actor, it's fun to go there, and it makes it even more exciting and safe to do it with someone you really trust," she continued. "So, it's really great." While the couple's romance doesn't mirror that of Lucy and Stephen's, they do have the show to thank for their relationship. In fact, Grace and Jackson-who confirmed their relationship in October 2022-met during the audition process in 2020, though sparks weren't immediately flying.readTell Me Lies' Grace Van Patten Gives Rare Insight on Life With Boyfriend Jackson White On and Offscreen"I didn't like Jackson," she admitted on the Call Her Daddy podcast in October. "Jackson, I had heard, was the favorite. So, I'm excited for his thing. He gets on, and-I've told him this-I'm like, 'Oh, this is like a serious actor, like, actor-y actor.' So, I was just like, 'Ugh, God.' But he was so good." "I was like, 'Alright, it's fine, maybe we won't get along, but he's, like, perfect for the part,'" Grace, who was doing chemistry reads with all the actors auditioning for Stephen, continued. "He's so talented and great." Once they finally met in person for the next round of auditions, however, Grace, 29, admitted that everything changed. She added, "It was a completely different energy. He just told me he was really nervous for the Zoom."Dia Dipasupil/Getty ImagesIt was a night out with some mutual friends where her and Jackson's chemistry became increasingly clear. "We vibed instantly," the Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox actress explained. "It was that night we were both like, 'We have a crush on each other.' This is probably the worst thing that could happen. We sat on the stoop for I think like six hours and talked about every reason we should not act on this. And then I kissed him." Despite their initial reservations surrounding the leap, their relationship ultimately became a grounding force in Grace's life, which she didn't realize she needed. "I really appreciate being still in a way that I did not before I met Jackson," she reflected in a joint interview with Jackson for Teen Vogue in January. "I'd get very sick of a place and have to leave, and I was just always on the move and living out of a suitcase until two years ago."Disney/Ian WatsonShe often struggled with anxiety and didn't feel comfortable sharing that with others. "This is the first relationship I feel really safe to be anxious in front of," she said. "He is so calming and makes me feel really listened to, and grounded and okay. In the same way that I need my mom to tell me everything's going to be okay, I feel like if Jackson's like, 'It's all good, it's going to be okay,' then I really believe that." Meanwhile, Jack, also 29, is happy to stand by his girlfriend's side through the ups and downs. "You're a very self-reliant person, which is such an attractive quality," the Mrs. Fletcher actor added, "and I know that you're a very vulnerable, mushy person too. When you show that side, I enjoy supporting you."Cindy Ord/Getty ImagesAs for what the next step is in Jackson and Grace's relationship? While they've blended much of their lives, they're still living apart-for now. "It's like a city home and a country home," the Nine Perfect Strangers actress explained of their respective Los Angeles-area homes. "When we need solitude and quiet, we go to his. We're in the little cabin, and it's so cozy. And when we want life and energy, we go to mine. It's a really good balance." But Grace and Jackson aren't the only stars to find love while the cameras were rolling. Keep reading for more couples that met on set.

But the pair have managed to keep their relationship private since they began dating in 2013. The couple have since welcomed two daughters, Esmeralda and Amada and Mendes opened up about how ending up with The Notebook star changed her opinion on motherhood. "I was lucky enough to work my bum off for 20 years," the New York & Company designer said on Sydney's Nova 96.9 in October 2020. "I never wanted babies before until I fell in love with Ryan, and then it just kind of worked out to where I was 40 and having my first baby and then I think I was 42 with my second one, so it worked out in that way that I had a career and then I changed my focus to my family."
