Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos denied that authorities found a glove at the home of Savannah Guthrie's mother, Nancy Guthrie, amid her disappearance. "We have no glove. We never found a glove on that property," Nanos told Fox News' Matt Finn on Friday, February 13. Nanos reportedly revealed in a local news interview that "they found a few different gloves in the area." Nanos told Fox that the authorities are not prioritizing every glove found because the office is "getting calls of gloves in Phoenix," which is approximately 112 to 119 miles away from Tucson. NBC Tucson affiliate KVOA reported on Wednesday, February 11, that investigators found a pair of black gloves during the expanded search for Nancy, 84, who has been missing since February 1. The gloves were later submitted for DNA analysis. Sheriff Hits Back at Claims of Blocking FBI From Nancy Guthrie Evidence Reuters later revealed on Thursday, February 12, that the sheriff's department blocked the FBI from accessing physical evidence - including a glove and DNA - which was sent to a lab in Florida instead of the FBI's crime lab in Virginia. Nanos told Fox that the sheriff's office has been using the same contracted lab for decades. They have been using that specific lab since the start of the investigation into Nancy's disappearance. "We trust the FBI's crime lab, we've used them before, but in this case we started with that lab," Nanos said on Friday. "It's just that simple." Nanos stated that the sheriff's department and FBI are working together and have been since the investigation began. According to Nanos, the FBI has been with alleged ransom notes because the bureau is better equipped to review it. He did not comment on whether the ransom notes are legitimate. Nanos reiterated that authorities "believe it's a kidnapping" but are considering "all possibilities" when it comes to Nancy's whereabouts. As for potential suspects in the case, Nanos said that "nobody is ever really eliminated." He added that the man who was briefly detained on Tuesday, February 10, was a delivery person "in the area" of Nancy's home. The sheriff is "satisfied" with the man's alibi. Nancy was reported missing by her family after she did not attend a virtual service for her church. She was last seen on January 31 after attending a family dinner. (Along with Savannah, 54, Nancy is the mother of Annie and Camron Guthrie.) Sheriff Clarifies Timeline, More Key Details in Nancy Guthrie Disappearance More than one week after Nancy was reported missing, the FBI shared surveillance photos and videos on Tuesday of a potential subject who could be involved in her disappearance. The images included an unidentified person wearing a ski mask while standing outside of Nancy's front door. "New images in the search for Nancy Guthrie," FBI Director Kash Patel tweeted as the footage was made public. "Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie's home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors - including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems." Two days later, the FBI revealed new details about the possible subject caught on Nancy's surveillance camera. The subject was described as "male, approximately 5'9" - 5'10" tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter 'Ozark Trail Hiker Pack' backpack." The bureau also increased the reward money for information about Nancy's disappearance to $100,000.
