"When Dawson's Creek came out, I was almost 16 years old, exactly like the main characters. I was (and still am) a film enthusiast and aspiring director, a lover of Spielberg's movies. Just like Dawson. My small donation is a drop in the ocean, but I want to pay tribute to James Van Der Beek and his wonderful family. Because to me he was much more than a good actor: for me, he is - and always will be - the symbol of a dream that, even today, almost thirty years later, is what gives me the strength to keep going. Thank you, James!" "Like many I first came across James in my teenage years through watching Dawson's Creek. I know he has had many great professional achievements since then but I want to say thank you for your role in that show . It is my comfort show, I have had many ups and downs with depression but Dawson's was a constant throughout. It brought my joy, comfort and a sense of safety when at times being in my own head didn't even feel safe. It has and will always have a special place in my heart and I have watched the full show more times than I can count. So thank you James for your role in my life and for many many others who have loved you in so many different projects throughout your career." "I used to watch Dawson's Creek in the 90's.
